It depends on the treatment. Turkey is the most popular choice for UK patients for dental work, hair transplants and cosmetic surgery. Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic have long-established dental sectors within the EU. Spain, Greece and Cyprus are well known for IVF, and Germany for oncology second opinions. Is treatment abroad safe?
It can be, if you choose the clinic carefully. Check the clinic's licence and the doctor's registration, ask for an itemised written plan before you travel and agree aftercare in advance. On Dr.Visor, clinics we have inspected in person carry the Verified by Dr.Visor badge. Other listings are marked Not verified and are shown for information only.
What does Verified by Dr.Visor mean?
A verified member clinic has passed our Membership Standards, including licence checks, clinician credentials, a strong independent review record and an in-person inspection by our team. Verification is renewed every year.
How do I get started?
Send a free enquiry. A Dr.Visor representative gets in touch, answers your first questions and explains your options. If you would like to speak to a doctor, a video consultation costs £50 and is deducted from your treatment if you go ahead.
